VIRTUAL TILING - How it works
Virtual Tiling gives you the ultimate in speed and flexibility.
Preparing the room
If you want to give
your
customer a quick impression of different styles and colours then you can do this in a matter of seconds, with the customer giving you just the rough dimensions and layout of the room.
Ready made templates
The key to Virtual Tiling is the Template system. Any template style can be created by you, the user, or you can use the many ready-made templates that come with Manufacturer Libraries
and with the extensive Generic tile catalogues for Walls and Floors.
Applying them is simplicity itself. Just select the template you want and apply it to individual walls or to all walls in the room.
Detailed design
If you are doing a detailed design, you can edit or adjust an existing template to take account of variations in room height or the position of key features like the height of a bath or of a window sill.
Cutting tiles & masks
Objects can be turned into "masks" which means that there will be no tiles behind the mask - great for tiling up to, but not beyond, furniture, plinths or baths. The system will give you a complete record of the full and partial tiles you have used by part number, description and even by the number of cartons required.
Working with a template
Once created, you can change elements within a template design quickly and easily. We all know, and we know, that tiling can be a complex business. That is why we have created a system of rules that will enable you to accurately position your tiles exactly where they need to be in the customers room itself.
You can even scroll all or just some of your tiles left and right or up and down.
Creating patterns
With Virtual Tiling you can create patterns from the most simple to the most complex.
Look at the examples in the Gallery to see some examples. Special training courses for “advanced” tile design are available from Logicom. Just ring the |Training Dept on 01908 448899 to get available course dates.
Special features
Your tiles or timber flooring elements can have any number of texture images stored against their part number. What this means is that the software will automatically select from all of these stored textures - which could, for example, consist of colour, grain and knot variants in flooring or colour variations in a particular tile - and apply and rotate them randomly, just as you do in real life.
